Injury Report: Key player ready to return for Preds
Keystone Press

On the morning of the biggest game in team history, the Nashville Predators have already received some good news. NHL.com reporter Tom Gulitti did some sleuthing at the team’s gameday skate and revealed that forward Colin Wilson may draw back into the lineup.

Wilson has been out of the lineup since the Western Conference Final and could make his Stanley Cup Final debut tonight on a line with break out star Frederick Gaudreau and Harry Zolnierczyk. Wilson’s addition to the lineup would be a huge boost for the Preds. The big bodied winger plays a physical style and will no doubt make life tough on the Penguins’ defenders.

Teammate Filip Forsberg was singing Wilson’s praises when he heard about the possibility of his return to the lineup saying, ”He's one of those guys who can really bring a lot to the table. He's a really hardworking guy with a lot of skill and can bring the physicality as well, so he's definitely one of those guys that can really make a difference."

Through four games in the series the Predators have had tremendous success against the Penguins by utilizing their size and speed up front on the forecheck to turn over pucks and create scoring chances. With Wilson in the lineup, they stand to only get stronger with this strategy.
