Vancouver Canucks rookie Brock Boeser has had maybe the most “hot and cold” start of any Calder Trophy favorites this season. After head coach Travis Green decided to scratch the youngster for the team’s first two games, Boeser has managed to work his way into the team’s lineup, putting up a remarkable nine points in just eight games. Now however, things may be cooling for the 20-year-old sniper, as it looks as though an injury may take him back out of the team’s lineup.

Boeser reportedly has a foot contusion after blocking a shot in Thursday’s 6-2 victory over the Washington Capitals. It’s expected that he’ll take the gameday skate tomorrow in advance of the team’s game against the Dallas Stars, and a determination will be made on his availability afterward.

Cross your fingers, Canucks fans.
