Injury Report: Patrick concussion update
Keystone Press

Philadelphia Flyers fans collectively held their breath as rookie Nolan Patrick lay on the ice last night in Philadelphia after taking a colliding head first into the glass as a result of a punishing hit from Anaheim Ducks forward Chris Wagner.

The 19-year-old, 2nd overall selection from this past June’s NHL Entry Draft fell to the ice and didn’t return for the rest of the evening. Fans and analysts suspected that the youngster had suffered a concussion, but according to a report from Flyers beat writer Sam Carchidi, Patrick is on the ice practicing with the Flyers this morning.

The team plays the Ottawa Senators tomorrow evening, but there’s no indication whether or not Patrick will be in the team’s lineup for that game. Watch this one closely, Flyers fans. We’ll update you on Patrick’s status as it becomes clear.
