Not a moment too soon.

It’s been a tough season for Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz.

In just his fourth game of the 2018-19 season Schultz suffered a catastrophic leg injury and has been on the team’s injured reserve for four months now.

Remember this?

The Pens have attempted to fill Schultz’s spot with a rotating cast of defenders like Brian Dumoulin, Juuso Riikola and Marcus Peterson this season with mixed results.

The good news is that Schultz is back on the ice skating with the team and earlier today he took part in his first full practice

This, of course, is great news and it points to a return for Schultz in the near future. The Pens have a tough schedule coming up in the next two weeks, here’s hoping that Schultz is able to get back in the lineup and help this team gear up for another healthy postseason run.
