Now for some good news.
Austin Czarnik has returned on the ice, and is wearing a no-contact jersey. His situation is still being supervised by the medical staff, but this is a good sign towards a speedy recovery.
Czarnik took a nasty late hit on October 8 from Philadelphia’s Radko Gudas (who got a six-game ban as a consequence) and did not return to continue the match. Afterwards, he was declared day-to-day with a mild concussion. Seeing him on the ice with a no-contact jersey is a promising sign that he may be back in the lineup shortly after the season starts.
