There was no doubt that Boston Bruins prospect Malcolm Subban was badly hurt when he left the ice during warm ups prior to a game against Portland, and now the severity of that injury has been confirmed.
As speculation suggested, the injury to Subban was in fact a fractured larynx, and that injury required surgery in order to be repair, however Subban will still need "at least" 8 weeks to fully recover according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
It's been a tough road to the National Hockey League of Subban, and this injury is just the latest roadblock he will have to overcome if he wishes to be a regular starter for Boston someday, but now it's hard to imagine he will get another shot in the NHL prior to next season.
