Injury Update: Klefbom ready for game 1?
Keystone Press

When the Edmonton Oilers take to the ice at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California tomorrow night for game 1 of their second round playoff series against the Anaheim Ducks, the team is hoping that they'll have their number one defenseman back on the blue line.

Despite missing yesterday’s informal team skate, defenseman Oscar Klefbom was back on the ice for the Oilers practice this morning. Fans may remember that head coach Todd McLellan sat Klefbom out for much of the team’s game 6 victory over the San Jose Sharks as the 23 year-old was reportedly suffering through flu-like symptoms.

While Klefbom hasn’t officially been cleared for tomorrow’s contest, his participation in today’s practice is clear evidence that he’ll be in the lineup barring any setbacks. It’s great news for a team that relied heavily on Klefbom to  help get them past the Sharks. They’ll need the youngster at the top of his game if they plan on getting past a powerhouse squad in Anaheim.
