Injury Update: More bad news from Pens practice

The Pittsburgh Penguins took to the ice at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh this morning and among the notable players missing was defenseman Justin Schultz. 

The 27-year-old blue liner suffered a lower body injury in the first period of last night’s loss to the New York Rangers. It’s unclear how long he’ll be out of the lineup, but the fact that he missed today’s practice is not a good sign.  

This is the second injury to Schultz so far this season after missing time with a concussion in early November. The 27-year-old blue liner has two goals and 10 points in 23 games this season, following a career high 12 goals and 51 points in 2016-17.
