Injury Update: Status of Jake Gardiner

The Toronto Maple Leafs received some good news on the injury front, as it looks as though defenceman Jake Gardiner will not miss an extended period of time. Gardiner blocked a shot off of his left knee in Thursday's game against the Colorado Avalanche. Gardiner looked to be in a significant amount of pain, and required the use of a golf cart to transport him for X-rays. Gardiner fortunately did not break anything and reportedly only suffered a bone bruise.
