Injury Update: Wilson’s status for game 3

The team needs the big forward for the biggest game of the year.

It’s no secret that the Nashville Predators have struggled down the middle of the ice since losing star center man Ryan Johansen in the Western Conference Final against the Anaheim Ducks. Rolling a one-two punch of Colton Sissons and Mike Fisher isn’t likely to intimidate the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins. That’s why all eyes were on injured forward Colin Wilson at Predators practice today.

While Wilson typically plays on the wing, he has a history of playing center when needed and could provide the Preds with a big boost at the position. Unfortunately, Wilson was a no-show during the team’s practice and didn’t hit the ice until afterwards for a solo skate.

Head coach Peter Laviolette hasn’t yet revealed his official lineup for tomorrow’s critical game 3 but if today’s practice lines are any indication, it appears Wilson will not be available.
