Insider believes team could trade their #1 goalie in the next 24 hours.

A National Hockey League trading it's starting goaltender is not a regular occurrence, but we may see just that within the next 24 hours.

According to insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN, the Tampa Bay Lightning could consider trading away goaltender Ben Bishop granted they get the right offer prior to the 2016 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

So what is the right offer? According to Lebrun "obviously if a first round pick is involved in a Bishop deal then a trade could potentially happen within next 24 hours... but no guarantee."

Bishop has played over 60 regular season games in each of the last three seasons, and has put up an average save percentage of .922 over those three seasons,  and when you add the fact that he is a proven playoff caliber goaltender his nearly $6 million dollar cap hit is much easier to stomach.

Perhaps the one major downside for a team acquiring Bishop is the fact that he only has two years remaining on his current deal, and could as a result leave through unrestricted free agency after two seasons.

It's starting to look like we might see a #1 goalie and a #1 defenseman traded at the draft.
