Insider claims NHL star is more “powerful” than Mario Lemieux

TSN insider Bob McKenzie had the nerve to compare one active player to The magnificent one on Friday morning’s radio segment. McKenzie said that Evgeni Malkin was more powerful than Mario Lemieux was. Of course, if you are talking about physical, they both look alike as Lemieux is 6ft4 and Malkin is 6ft3.

This is the only comparison possible between the two of them. Lemieux will always stay superior to Malkin in every single category of the game. Here’s the complete quote from McKenzie.

“Mario was powerful, but Malkin takes it to another level. Mario was really a rangy guy—6-foot 4. And he was a big guy, but compared to Malkin—Malkin is like a tank on top of having the height.”

Mario Lemieux is one of the greatest players of all time. Lemieux played 915 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He scored 690 goals and registered 1033 assists for a total of 1723 points.

As for Evgeni Malkin, he played 702 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He scored 326 goals and registered 504 assists for a total of 830 points.
