Insider predicts 7 new NHL captains for the 2015-2016 season.

There are currently no less than seven National Hockey League teams that are captainless and for many of the fans of those organizations who will take over the captaincy is a big question this summer.

Sportsnet insider Luke Fox did his best to predict who he believes will be the next captain of each of those organizations, although even he couldn't narrow it down to just one candidate in every case.

Edmonton Oilers - Connor David

Florida Panthers - Aaron Ekblad with an honorable mention to Willie Mitchell

Nashville Predators - Mike Fisher

Toronto Maple Leafs - No captain for 2016 Morgan Rielly in 2017.

St. Louis Blues - Alex Pietrangelo or Alexander Steen

Carolina Hurricanes - Jordan Staal or Justin Faulk

Winnipeg Jets - Blake Wheeler
