The expansion draft is a looming threat for several teams but for teams like the Chicago Blackhawks, who are fairly stacked with talented players, it could mean losing a significant piece to Las Vegas.

On Thursday one of the most well connected Blackhawks' insiders was asked who he believes the Blackhawks will lose during the expansion draft and he managed to narrow it down to just two players.

According to Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times the Blackhawks are set to lose either 26-year-old center Marcus Kruger or 25-year-old defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk.

Both men are significant parts of what Chicago does, with Kurger appearing in 31 games this season for Chicago and accounting for 5 points of offensive production while maintaining a very respectable plus minus rating of 10 over that stretch, Van Riemsdyk on the other hand has only appeared in 7 games due to injury, and it seems fair to say that given his injury history he may be the player the fan base would prefer to lose among the two. Nonetheless he remains a talented young defenseman, and that's a valuable trading chip to lose for nothing.
