Insider Report: Jagr signing could happen tonight!

According to a report from TSN analyst and NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, NHL veteran Jaromir Jagr is burning the midnight oil. LeBrun reports that his sources have informed him that the 45-year-old future Hall-of-Famer is negotiating a new deal with the Calgary Flames this evening and that it’s very possible that the two sides agree on a contract before sunrise.

Jagr has been rumored to be signing in Calgary for over a month now, but with little movement the past two weeks the rumors have died down. Earlier this week it looked as if Jagr may be on the way to the St. Louis Blues as Blues GM Doug Armstrong admitted to having interest in signing the veteran.

Where he ultimately ends up still remains to be seen, but as a hockey fan you have to be happy with the fact that it looks like we’ll get at least one more year of Jaromir Jagr in the NHL.
