Insider Report: NHL GM admits to Jagr discussions
Keystone Press

In this morning’s press conference where the St. Louis Blues officially announced that they’ll be shutting down forward Robby Fabbri for the season with brutal knee injury, Blues GM Doug Armstrong made a surprising admission: the team is considering signing Jaromir Jagr.

When asked point blank about bringing in a player of Jagr’s skill-level to replace Fabbri in the Blues lineup, Armstrong didn’t shy away from the question and actually tipped his hand a bit in response.

Check it out:

Could you imagine Jaromir Jagr playing alongside Vladimir Tarasenko on the Blues power play? They’d need two pucks just to keep them both busy! Whether or not a deal goes down, the fact that Armstrong came out in admission of his interest so forthright is refreshing. We’re uso sed to the cloak and dagger ways of NHL GM’s, that when one actually speaks his mind it’s like a breath of fresh air.
