Trade? Waiver claim? Free-agent signing? Who does Dorion have in his sights?

According to a report from Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch, the Ottawa Senators will add a forward to their group today. This courtesy of Sens GM Pierre Dorion who admitted live on air with TSN 1200 that he “will try to add to forward today” and that he’s “been active the last few days."

Whether this means a trade, a waiver claim or a free-agent signing, we don’t know yet. There are some interesting forwards still on the waiver wire including Philadelphia Flyers winger Matt Read, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kerby Rachel, Vegas Golden Knights forward Teemu Pulkinnen and Chicago Blackhawks forward Tomas Jurco. Might the Sens make a move on one of these players?

Or maybe Dorion is hinting at something bigger? The team has been in the mix to land Matt Duchene from the Colorado Avalanche for weeks now. With the puck set to drop on the 2017-18 season, will they finally pull the trigger?
