Insider reports Bruins will have an advantage over other teams in Vesey sweepstakes.

The Jimmy Vesey sweepstakes are in full effect and while there were a number of teams already rumored to be involved, a whole new host of teams have joined the fray according to multiple reports earlier today. However according to one insider, there may be a team with an inside track.

Boston Bruin's insider Joe Haggerty has reported that while Vesey and his management will meet with a large number of interesting teams this week, the team that will get to speak to Vesey last will be the Bruins. 

This provides Boston with a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impression on Vesey before he makes his final decision which is expected to come Friday or some time over the week-end. With Vesey spending the last few years playing for Harvard University in close proximity to TD Garden, it should come as little surprise that he wants to remain close to Boston. 

In fact a report out of the Red Wings camp today would seem to suggest that very fact.
