Insiders reveal the #1 impact forward on the trade market.

TSN's hockey insiders assembled for another edition of Insider Trading on Thursday night, and they had a ton of information to share, little surprise with the trade deadline drawing close. One nugget of information stood out above the rest however, the future of Arizona Coyotes assistant captain, and soon to be free agent, forward Mikkel Boedker.

According to Pierre Lebrun there is a very real chance Boedker could hit the free agent market, and if so Lebrun believes he would be the #1 rental forward on the trade market, the player who could most impact a contender trying to win it all.

"I think the most underplayed name right now when we talk about potential guys that might get dealt. This guy is 26 years old, and I got news for you, if they can't re-sign this pending UFA winger, to me, he should be the #1 rental forward on the trade market."

And the insiders believe he will get traded, both Lebrun and Darren Dreger believe he won't re-sign.

"Now there have been some contract talks, they've gone back and forth, I don't think it's close at all," said Lebrun.

"There's some tumultuous history here so don't be surprised if he goes to free agency," added Dreger.

Boedker has 35 points, 13 goals and 22 assists, in 53 games with Arizona this season.
