Doe the Winnipeg Jets finally found their #1 goaltender? Based on Connor Hellebuyck numbers since the beginning of the season, the answer is yes. Will he keep with this numbers for the reminder of the season? You have to hope so, because he seems to be their more reliable option in nets this year. Steve Mason was projected to be the #1 goaltender for the Jets, after he signed a two-year, $8.2 million contract this summer. But he didn't had good numbers in the four starts he had, and head coach Paul Maurice decided to give a shot to Hellebuyck. It worked well so far. Let's take a look at the numbers.

Steve Mason had a career goals-against average of 2.68 and a career .911 save percentage. In four starts with the Jets, his goals-against average went up to 4.84 ans his save percentage dropped to .872.

Connor Hellebuyck had a rough year last season, when the Jets gave him his first shot at #1 goaltender. He played 56 games, posting a 26-19-4 record with a 2.89 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. But when he got a new chance this year, he didn't disappoint. He started 11 games, posting a 8-0-2 record with a 2.64 goals against average and a .936 save percentage. These numbers are really good, and Hellebuyck will have to keep on playing this way if the Jets can hope to make the playoffs. They are currently second in the Central division with a 8-3-3 record.

What do you think, Jets fans? Is Hellebuyck's your man?
