On Wednesday night, the New York Islanders hosted a playoff game for the first time since the 2016 and the crowd was loving it. They made sure they could be heard during the game and cheered on their team until they came out winners with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven first-round series.

While head coach Barry Trotz knew the crowd was there to support his players and cheer them on, he still had an important coaching note to share with them ahead of Game 2 tonight at the Nassau Coliseum.

In the second, they got a little quiet on us. I didn’t like it. They need to be loud the whole time.”

You can bet the message was clear to Islanders fans, who are ready to following the coach’s orders tonight.

Let’s see how loud the Islanders fans will get tonight as the team will try to go to Pittsburgh with a 2-0 lead in the series.

Say what? I can’t hear you Isles fans!!!

And as for you Penguins fans, you probably want to tell Trotz to focus on the crowd while your favourite team takes care of the players on the ice.

Game on!
