It appears another trade has been made, no official announcement.

This isn't an official trade announcement, the two teams involved have yet to make it official, however the circumstances involved here make it seem extremely likely that a deal has in fact been reached.

First and foremost, the Edmonton Oilers are headed back to Edmonton after their road trip in California, all of the Oilers except one that is, goaltender Anders Nilsson has been left behind in California. I suppose it's possible the Oilers forgot him, or maybe they're just really mean, but I doubt either of those scenarios is likely.

Furthermore, one of the most reliable insiders in the business, TSN insider Bob McKenzie aka the Dark Canuck, who seemingly never sleeps, is reporting that the Oilers have in fact finalized a trade with the St. Louis Blues for the services of Anders Nilsson. With that said as mentioned above the trade is not official, so McKenzie was unable to confirm the exact details of the trade. McKenzie did state that he believes the Oilers have acquired a "mid round pick" for Nilsson, more specifically McKenzie has speculated it will be a 4th or 5th round draft choice.

It doesn't sound like we can expect an official announcement on this deal tonight.
