The Anaheim Ducks are no strangers to having a strong core of young defenseman. Sami Vatanen and Hampus Lindholm have proven that they are capable of becoming elite in the NHL. It is now to time for Brandon Montour to have his first breakout season and prove to us all that he could be a very good defenseman in the NHL for a very long.
At 23 years old, the two way defenseman had solid point per game numbers last season in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls getting 32 points in 36 games. There were some trade rumors involving the Ducks shipping Montour to another team due to the Expansion draft but now with Shea Theodore a Golden Knight, Montour will now be the Ducks prospect who will get all the attention next season.
