Former Toronto Maple Leafs draftee Matt Frattin has agreed to a one-year deal with Chinese KHL club Kunlun Red Star

A fourth-round pick in 2007 NHL draft, Frattin, a 29 year-old left-winger, scored 7 goals and collected 13 points in 25 games with the Leafs during the 2012-13 season season. A few months later he was traded to the L.A. Kings in the Jonathan Bernier deal.

The Kings then traded him to Columbus to obtain a certain Marian Gaborik

After only a few games with Columbus, the Blue Jackets traded him back to Toronto that then shipped him to Ottawa in the Dion Phaneuf deal.

Last seaon, Frattin played with Calgary’s AHL affiliate club scoring 18 goals and amassing 36 points in 54 games.

In Kunlun, he’ll be playing alongside former NHLers Andrei Kostisyn and Alexei Ponikarovsky
