After a 4-3 comeback win Wednesday night, the Montreal Canadiens are a game away from clinching a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs first round and eliminating the Pittsburgh Penguins.

No one expected it and fans want someone to blame.

And it seems like they have decided it’s all Jack Johnson’s fault… Fans all over social media have been demanding that Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan benches the veteran defenseman for Friday’s do or die contest, and cannot understand why he was signed to a five-year contract in 2018.

Coming off a devastating Game 3 loss to the Canadiens in which Johnson was -3, with him having been on the ice for five out of the eight goals the Penguins have allowed, for now, there is no indication Sullivan will scratch him in Game 4.

Fans have therefore decided to send clear messages to the Penguins, ripping Johnson apart and begging Hockey Gods he will be out of the lineup on Friday.

Johnson seems like a nice guy who has had really bad stuff happen to him, but this is really bad stuff once again and he needs to be removed from the lineup.

Losing to the 24th seed a year after getting swept out of the first round isn’t something the Penguins can handle without someone losing their jobs! So, why not get Johnson away from his in order to get the Penguins a real chance to force a fifth game and stay in the postseason!

The Penguins are running out of time and fans appear to be unanimous: Johnson needs to have zero ice time to give them the best chance possible.
