Jaromir Jagr makes a statement about his future in the NHL.

National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr made waves on Monday when he secured yet another season in the NHL by agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with the Calgary Flames, but that's not all he did. 

Speaking with a great deal of candor and freedom after the deal was finally announced, even though it has yet to be officially signed, Jagr also opened up about his future in the NHL, a future that appears to have his career coming to an end. 

"At 99.9 percent, this is my last season in NHL. So I am happy I will play for Canadian team finally," said Jagr as per sports writer Tomas Pokorny.

Jagr is tantalizingly close to a number of NHL records this season, but it sounds like this will be the last chance for the Czech superstar to achieve those milestones before he rides off into the sunset. 

While Jagr did leave himself a 0.01% chance of returning for another season, we believe he does genuinely intend to retire at the end of this season.
