Tristan Jarry is taking over the Pittsburgh Penguins' net, starting tomorrow against the Buffalo Sabres, and fans might be slightly worried of Matt Murray's injury and absence.

However, it has been revealed and published on the Tribune Live site, that Jarry's game is similar to Murray's in one significant way. While fans may be paying attention to his pads, glove or blocker, his best weapon is his mind.

“He's a smart goalie,” said defenseman Chad Ruhwedel, who played with Jarry in Wilkes-Barre last season.

“He reads plays really well in games, like backdoor passes. He's pretty good at reading where guys are going to shoot it as well.”

That's a great thing for the young goalie, as he uses the same arsenal as his starter Murray. The Pens will be able to count on his in between the pipes.

In four games this season with the Pens, Jarry has registered a 2.83 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage.
