The Los Angeles Kings are no doubt sellers ahead of the trade deadline, and while they might be working on a deal to send defenseman Alec Martinez to the Vegas Golden Knights, another player appears to be on the move.

According to Elliotte Friedman, forward Jeff Carter could be making his way back to the Philadelphia Flyers. The insider mentioned the speculation in his latest 31 Thoughts column on Sportsnet:

It might come down to Nolan Patrick ’s health, but I think Philadelphia is considering Jeff Carter.

As Friedman mentions, the Flyers might wait and see what happens wit young forward Nolan Patrick’s condition.

Patrick is making very good progress as he has missed the entire season because of a migraine disorder. It remains to be seen if he will soon start to get hit in practices and ready for more action ahead of the Feb. 24.

If the Flyers are able to get Patrick back, it might reduce their need to hit the trade market.

In 59 games with the Kings this season, Carter has tallied 17 goals and 26 points.
