Roenick doesn't pull any punches.

Former National Hockey League player Jeremy Roenick has never been a man to shy away from controversy and this story certainly will be no exception.

Roenick has called out one NHL franchise in brutal fashion stating that, while it is filled with talented and skilled players, the majority of the players on the team are simply too stupid to seriously compete in the NHL.

“You talk about the AHL Coyotes,” said Roenick while mocking the Coyotes as per Fanrag's Chris Nichols. “I make this comparison only because of what I watch with Vegas. Arizona has a fast team. They have talented players. But most of them are dumb as a box of rocks. There’s no hockey IQ in them whatsoever right now with what they do with the puck or how they play or how they support each other. Whereas Vegas is totally the opposite. They work for each other. They put the puck in the right areas. They’re puck-hungry. And they’re getting different people to step up in different nights."

There's little doubt that the Coyotes won't be happy about a former NHLer making disparaging comments about their players in this fashion, especially not a former player who spent 5 seasons with their organization. It will be very interesting to see if there is any kind of backlash against Roenick for these statements.
