Jets prospect received telling award!
Keystone press agency

When drafted, players can decide to stay in the scholar circuits and play hockey there instead of joining the AHL. One of the Jets promising prospect decided to do just that, playing for the University of North Dakota hockey team.

Tucker Poolman might not be a household name just yet, but the 5th rounder earned an interesting title today.

Granted, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference is not the most demanding league around, but Poolman's award tells us he's heading in the right direction. Even being the best defenseman of the year didn't stop Poolman from scoring 30 points in 36 games. It's a complete package developing in this 6'3'', 210lbs guy.

He's still far away on the radar, but keep the name on your mind!
