Jim Hughson blows the biggest goal call for the Leafs in nearly 20 years

If you missed tonight's Game 4 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets... my God did you miss one incredible hockey game.

After absolutely collapsing in Game 3 of the series, the Leafs decided to switch things up and... well it ended up working for them this time. The Leafs spotted the Blue Jackets a 3-0 until roughly the 55th minute of the game. That's when they came alive.

With just under four minutes to play sniper William Nylander FINALLY found the score sheet to give the Leafs some life.

Under a minute later captain John Tavares pulled the Leafs within a goal.

Then... with just 23 seconds left in the Leafs' season. Zachary. Hyman.

From there the stage was set for overtime. And who else on the biggest stage in the biggest game of the year, but the Leafs' biggest player: Auston Matthews.

Exciting right!? Well... in real time it was a little more anti-climactic as CBC broadcaster Jim Hughson completely botched the call, stating that it was Kasperi Kapanen who won the game for the Leafs.
