The most existing time of the hockey season is coming up and a lot of eyeballs will be on the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews wants to make sure many of those eyes are firmly on fellow forward Patrick Kane and for all the wrong reasons.
While speaking to the media today Toews issued a hilarious postseason challenge to his fellow Blackhawks superstar, or perhaps you could consider it a demand given the language he used. Toews told Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune that Kane must bring back his playoff mullet, presumably as part of some unholy pact that gives him supernatural power in the postseason.
Toews even went a step further, and gave Kuc a message to report that has to be considered some kind of blackmail, stating that Kane must do it or he's simply not a team player.
“If he's a team player he has to take one for the team.”
Your move Kane.
