It is a tough reality to swallow for many Sharks fans, however, former captain Joe Pavelski signed with the Dallas Stars last month and won’t return to San Jose.

On Friday, a video of Pavelski practising in Stars colours was posted on social media by TSN and it simply broke the heart of many Sharks fans out there, seeing what the veteran forward does best: setting up shop right in front of the net, just tipping pucks in.

He may be 35 years old, but Pavelski remains one of the best at redirecting pucks in front of the net and the video proves that he is not rusty this summer.

However, fans will need to accept he will be taking on this courageous role with another Western contender.

Pavelski can also be broken in a sense when it come to tipping in pucks and he can deflect them with pretty much any part of his body. The poor guy used his face and broke and lost several teeth during the postgame when he stood in front of the net to get his team on the board.

See you in Dallas Joe!
