Johnny Gaudreau has reportedly agreed to a new deal.

It's not yet official but a very good source is reporting the Johnny Gaudreau deal may finally be done.

Earlier today Gaudreau himself announced that he would be signing with the Flames, but the terms of the contract were not disclosed. However a report from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that this is expected to be a 6 year deal at $6.75 million per season.

While it's a huge money contract it is significantly less than Gaudreau was looking for in excess of $8 million dollars, the problem of course was he found himself in a position where he would have a unique lack of leverage to apply pressure. One has to wonder how Gaudreau will view this deal and his relationship with the Flames organization as result.

Keep in mind these financials have not yet been officially confirmed.
