The Boston Bruins have finally cracked Jordan Binnington.

The Blues were hosting the first Stanley Cup Final game in St. Louis in half a century and it only took about 10 minutes of game time before the wheels began to fall off the wagon for the St. Louis Blues. The Bruins would go off for 4 consecutive goals before the Blues were able to find an answer in the second period and even that that goal was quickly answered by the Bruins to make it 5 - 1.

At one point the Bruins had scored 4 goals on just 6 shots and it would eventually result in a rather stunning decision from Blues head coach Craig Berube. Berube would yank star goaltender Jordan Binnington out of the Blues net and send veteran Jake Allen in to relieve him, likely hoping to preserve Binnington as much as possible for Game 4 in this series. To be fair here I really do think this was a decision to preserve Binnington and not a head coach putting the blame on his goalie, as Binnington did not get a lot of help from the Blues skaters in front of him tonight.

The first goal from the Bruins game on the power play and was scored by Bruins star forward Patrice Bergeron.

The third goal of the game caused a little controversy as it appeared that it may have been offside, however the National Hockey League's officials would eventually rule it a good goal.

The fourth goal was the result of another defensive breakdown from the Blues and saw Bruins star David Pastrnak left all alone where he had a ton of time to lift the puck over Binnington and into the net.

The final dagger for Jordan Binnington came off of the back of a shot from Bruins defenseman Torey Krug. Not only is there no shame is being scored on by an offensive defenseman like Krug, but Binnington actually would have had the puck if not for a deflection off the stick of a Blues player, and even then he still managed to get a piece of it before it went in. I think you would be hard pressed to be too hard on Binnington here.
