The Habs are getting ready to face the Capitals in Washington D.C. They will be in pursuit of their 11th victory this season and their 3rd win in a row.

The Canadiens are coming off a hard-fought 3-2 shootout victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets in home ice. They will look to keep that momentum going this evening against a very good Capitals team. Tonight's matchup will be the first of two in 24 hours of the Canadiens as they play the New Jersey Devils tomorrow back at the Bell Center.

Earlier this week, Ryan Poehling was sent back down to the Laval Rocket after un unsuccessful stint on the left wing of the 4th line. As Jesperi Kotkaniemi is injured and Suzuki is doing a great job pivoting the 3rd line, Jordan Weal who has been a healthy scratch for many consecutive games will step back into the lineup on the fourth line.

Weal had 4 goals and 10 points in 16 games last season after Montreal acquired him via a trade with the Flyers. This season, he had a slower start with 2 goals and 3 points in 10 games. He will undoubtedly come out hungry tonight and look to get back to his surprising offensive form from last season.

As far as the rest of the lineup goes, it looks the as it did over the course of the last few matches. Carey Price will once again be the starting netminder, so watch for Keith Kinkaid to start tomorrow's game against New Jersey.

Here is the Habs' projected lineup for tonight's game against the Washington Capitals according to NHL.com correspondent Harvey Valentine:

Forwards:

Jonathan Drouin - Phillip Danault - Brendan Gallagher

Paul Byron - Max Domi - Joel Armia

Tomas Tatar - Nick Suzuki - Artturi Lehkonen

Nick Cousins - Nate Thompson - Jordan Weal

Defencemen:

Victor Mete - Shea Weber

Ben Chiarot - Jeff Petry

Brett Kulak - Cale Fleury

Goaltenders:

Carey Price

Keith Kinkaid

Mike Reilly and Christian Folin are set to be the healthy scratches. Meanwhile, Kotkaniemi is still recovering from his groin injury and could be coming back to the lineup soon.

Washington is on fire as of late and will be seeking a point in a 14th game in a row. Both Alex Ovechkin and d-man John Carlson will be players to watch out for as they are enjoying incredible starts to the season offensively.

It should be a fun one to watch!
