I mean, he had to.

Everybody was talking about Nicolas Deslauriers following yesterday's game against the Arizona Coyotes, as if fans, journalists and even Habs' coaches were looking for a culprit for the tough loss. Even though the 6-foot-1, 215-pound forward gave Zac Rinaldo a beating, it feels like the Coyotes were rejuvenated and were able to come back into the game.

Head coach Claude Julien was simply livid at the end of yesterday's game, and implied Deslauriers didn't make the right call by dropping the mitts. However, he retracted his comments today, after his team's morning skate. Here's what he said:

"Yesterday night, I didn't really wanna talk about it because I was extremely frustrated after the game. Deslauriers is a guy who's excited to be here, who was playing his first game with us and who wanted to prove himself. He won his fight, which, in a way, should've given us energy. But it was quite the opposite."

Do you think Deslauriers made the right call when he decided to fight Rinaldo?
