Kadri will have hearing for nasty cross-check.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety continues to have the sights set on Nazem Kadri.

After the league decided to fine the Toronto Maple Leafs' forward $5,000 for embellishment, Kadri is set to have a hearing with the disciplinary committee for a nasty cross-check he delivered to Red Wings' forward Luke Glendening.

During Saturday night's matchup between the Leafs' and Red Wings, Kadri and Glendening got into a bit of a shoving match, with Kadri getting his helmet ripped off in the process. Kadri then decided to retaliate by delivering a high cross-check to Glendening, who never saw it coming.

This is not the first time Kadri has had issues with the Department of Player Safety. He was suspended for four games late last season for an illegal check to the head, and will be considered a repeat offender for this hearing.

A suspension seems to be upcoming.
