Kakko scores incredible OT goal to cap off four point game

In case you missed it last night, New York Rangers rookie Kaapo Kakko absolutely torched the Minnesota Wild in rookie tournament action. The 2nd overall pick in this past June’s 2019 NHL Entry Draft had an incredible four point evening highlighted by this outstanding OT winner:

Yowza… that’s a pretty goal. 

Not gonna lie, the way this kid moves and protects the puck, he looks like a young Evgeny Malkin. Or maybe a Marian Hossa? Either way, Rangers fans would be absolutely ecstatic if Kakko develops into a player anywhere close to Malkin or Hossa’s skill level.

And here’s the best part, the 18 year old Kakko was all smiles after last night’s game and even deflected some of the praise he received from the media.
