It was a good night to be Phil Kessel, or a Penguins fan in Pittsburgh on Thursday night. Kessel scored two power-play goals, Derick Brassard added two goals and the Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2, and it feels like every Pens fan was rewarded for the win.

The Penguins have an in-game promotion called the ‘McDonald’s Big Mac Attack’. If a Penguins player scores during the two-minute promotion, everyone in attendance earns themselves a free Big Mac. And on Thursday night, Kessel made sure to offer this gift to the attendance as his first goal of the night happened to come during that time.

Fans made sure to thank him almost immediately.

Kessel heard the chants and became interested in what had taken place for the crowd to cheer him on. When he found out what he had managed to pull, the veteran forward was more than happy about winning the free Big Macs for the Penguins fans.

"I heard it on the board. But, you know, I hope they all get it tomorrow or whenever it's due."

Kessel scored twice in the second period and raised his season total to 16 goals. He moved into 20th place all-time with his 97th career power-play goal by an American, passing Chris Drury.

We all know Kessel loves hot-dogs, however, we are pretty sure Big Macs are also something he loves and is now happy to be sharing them with Penguins fans.

Bon appetit if you are in Pittsburgh!
