It was quite a weekend for Washington Capitals veteran Justin Williams. On Friday night the winger, whose nickname is “Mr. Game 7” because of his ability to provide big moments in big games, managed to add another clutch goal to his resume with the game winning overtime goal against  the Toronto Maple Leafs in game 5 of their opening round playoff series. Sunday evening, the puck found it’s way to Williams’ stick in OT once again. However this time instead of shooting, he made a deft pass to Marcus Johansson who buried  it past Freddy Andersen for the series win.

Life was pretty, pretty, pretty good for Justin Williams. Until he hit the highway back home in Washington, D.C. Williams tweeted out a photo early Monday morning of a speeding ticket, with the remark “Justin...welcome back to Washington DC. Here's your speeding ticket????”.”

It seems that putting your team on your back and willing them to two straight victories to move on to the next round of the Stanley Cup playoffs doesn’t count for much with the DC area traffic police. The good news for Williams is that with his $3.25 million annual salary, he should be able to afford the penalty. But please, Justin…for the sanity of Capitals fan, please drive safe from now on!
