KHL team makes bold request to the NHL...

It has been a couple of seasons now that some National Hockey League teams fly overseas to get some action and face off against a professional club in Europe to get more fans across the globe. 

Now, it seems like a team from the Kontinental Hockey League is looking to do the same... this season. According to KHL insider and hockey writer for the Sport-Express Igor Eronko, CSKA Moscow is looking to play an exhibition game against an NHL team in time for Anatoly Tarasov's 100 years anniversary per CSKA's president. 

Anatoly Vladimirovich Tarasov was a Russian ice hockey player and coach. Tarasov is considered "the father of Russian ice hockey" and established the Soviet Union national team as "the dominant force in international competition." He helped founded the CSKA club. He was born on December 10, 1918. 

You know what it means, then... 

At CSKA Moscow, Tarasov won 19 Soviet titles, including all but five from 1955 to 1975 and three instances of winning four titles in a row.

Let's see how this turns out, but the bold demand will need to fit with the NHL's schedule, and players will need to be ready for a quick travel if they have to go overseas for the event. 

We will see what NHL commissioner Gary Bettman will have to say about this.
