Kings challenge Tkachuk after elbow to Doughty and he answers the call.

Fans were expecting fireworks tonight and so far they have been getting them.

On WeWednesday night the Los Angeles Kings faced off against the Calgary Flames for the first time since Kings star Drew Doughty was dropped by an elbow from Flames rookie Matthew Tkachuk.

It took no time at all for things to get heated, in fact players could be seen talking trash back and forth during pregame warmups after Tkachuk positioned himself right at center ice.

Strangely enough it was Tkachuk who initially challenged the Kings to a scrap, and that resulted in him getting nothing but a 2 minute minor penalty. However the Kings eventually sent out big Brayden McNabb and to his credit Tkachuk showed no hesitation at all. It even looks like he took the time to chirp Doughty on his way to the box.
