Kings mascot trolls Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe during last night’s game

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the season for so many hockey fans was Brad Marchand's epic shootout fail back in January. 

Remember this?

Boston Bruins haters absolutely ate it up and, quite frankly, whether you're a Bruins fan or not you have to admit that the irony of Marchand of all people doing this to himself was just too damn perfect.

Last night, Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews did his absolute best to join Marchand's rank. While his whiff in the shootout against the Los Angeles Kings wasn't quite as bad as Marchand's, it's still up there as one of the all-time best shootout blunders.

Unfortunately for Matthews and the Leafs, they dropped the game 1-0 in the shootout. 

Double ouch.
