Kings star criticizes his own team
z

Considering the LA Kings have lost their star goaltender Jonathan Quick to a long term injury, they havent done so bad. However, after their loss against the Buffalo Sabres tonight, Jeff Carter was not impressed and had some interesting comments about his team.

Helene Elliott  who is a sports columnist for the LA Times quoted him saying that his team is "Fragile". Carter wasn't sugar coating anything. He was unhappy about the play of his team and came right out and said it.

The main reason for him being upset is the difference between their home and away records. The Kings are 10-4-1 at home but are 4-8-1 on the road. The Kings have played some solid hockey at the Staples Center but when they aren't on home ice, that is when things get rocky. With how good teams are in the Western Conference, you can't afford to struggle on the road. Carter might have been onto to something, but calling out your team might not always be the best way. However, he is a big part of the leadership group in LA and might have just been looking to put a fire under his team.Guess we will just have to see how the Kings respond next game and if Carter's comments have any affect.
