Don’t look now, but there’s actually NHL hockey on this afternoon… well kinda…

The Philadelphia Flyers are in Switzerland as part of the NHL’s Global Series initiative where they’re taking on the Swiss League’s Lausanne HC in a fairly lopsided game. With Lausanne leading the Flyers 4-0 in the second period, Flyers forward Travis Konecny collided hard with the end boards and appeared to injure himself. The good news is that linemate Claude Giroux scored on the play, the bad news is that Konecny was forced to leave the ice.

Check it out:

Ouch… that’s ugly. Here’s hoping it’s nothing serious and that Konency, if he is in fact injured, is not out for any real length of time.

UPDATE: And just like that, T.K. is back!
