All that we have been hearing recently on veteran forward Ilya Kolvachuk is how he could be changing address before Monday’s trade deadline. The Russian forward is believed to be willing to waive his no trade clause, and last week, it was reported that New York Islanders were actively involved in trying to acquire the former NHL superstar.

This won’t stop Kovalchuk from making a big personal news as the New York Post reports he is planning on selling his custom-built dream mansion in New Jersey.

The Russian star might getting paid quite well in Los Angeles, after he signed a three-year deal worth over $18 million, however he wants some more and his house sale will surely help.

As per the New York Post, Kovalchuk is looking for $17.99 million for his 22,000 square foot mansion that has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a banquet size dining room, a chef’s kitchen, basement with a lounge, theatre, bar, plunge pool, and massage room.

That’s a lot of cash…

Now the only thing that Kovalchuk would love to put in his safe is most likely… a Stanley Cup ring.

Will he get traded to a contender before Monday?
