Kypreos: Stanley Cup Contender could be selling comes trade deadline!?

The Montreal Canadiens are sitting on top of the Atlantic division despite missing the playoffs last year. Despite being held without Andrei Markov, Greg Pateryn, Andrew Shaw, David Desharnais, Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk.

The surprising performances of Paul Byron, Philipe Danault and quite frankly Alexander Radulov seem to carry the Habs right into a playoff spot, and a good one.

But still, according to Nick Kypreos, the Habs could be selling one of their player, comes the trade deadline. “(The Canadiens) are going to start to get healthy with (Alex) Galchenyuk coming back,” Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos said on Hockey Night in Canada’s Headlines segment Saturday. “But there’s a sense that if (Plekanec) doesn’t get re-engaged that he might be available by the trade deadline.” as per Sportsnet

Marc Bergervin will have a tough time moving Plekanec as he's carrying a $6,000,000 cap hit up until next year and he's not getting any younger.
