The Las Vegas franchise continues to make important hires in order to fill its front office.

A name perhaps slightly unfamiliar to Montreal Canadiens fans, Vaughn Karpan, has been hired as the director of Player Personnel, according to TVA Sports. Previously, he served as an amateur and pro scout during his tenure with Montreal, as well as eventually becoming pro scouting director since he started working for the team in 2005.

He has a long and winding resume, having completed stints with the Winnipeg Jets and assisting in their relocation to Phoenix in 1996. While his playing career isn’t as glorious- he played for Canada’s national team between 1983-1988- his 25 years of experience should serve a loaded management group in Nevada quite well.
