Plenty of star players went down to injuries in the latest few days, here is an update on their respective status. Goaltender Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators is officially listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury. He is doubtful for friday's game against the Washington Capitals. Tyler Johnson and Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning are both listed day-to-day as well. Johnson practiced with a no contact jersey and both players will not be in uniform tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. Derek Stepan of the New York Rangers is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury but will travel with the team. He'll likely be a game time decision. Goalie Steve Mason and defensemen Braydon Coburn of the Philadelphia Flyers both went down to injury. Mason will miss at least 2 weeks and Coburn up to 1 month. Finally, Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard should miss 3-4 weeks with what appears to be a groin injury.
